Sugar Heal Wounds – First Aid in Many Wound Cases at Home

You will not believe, but the best way to treat any open wound – including sunburn, skin
damage by interventions with laser, scratches, diabetic ulcers and others is by using ordinary
 sugar.
When sugar is applied to the wound, it creates a highly concentrated medium where bacteria
can not survive. Sugar also reduces swelling, promotes the removal of dead tissue and
promotes the formation of connective tissue and new blood vessels. Thus, the final result of
the use of sugar on the wounds is rapid healing with minimal scarring.

How to apply
Stir a few tablespoons of plain white sugar with sufficient amount of glycerol to form a paste
with a consistency like butter. (Glycerin, also called glycerol, simply helps the sugar to be
applied and maintain to the desired place. Sold in almost every pharmacy and can be bought in
 grams).

Take a piece of gauze 10 x 10 cm and cut into a long strip.
Back of gauze moisten it with Vaseline.
Place this gauze on the wound. (It will act as a border to keep sugar in one place.)
Pour over the wound thick layer of the sugar / glycerin paste and cover it with gauze.
Secure the cover of gauze but do not over tighten it.

Changing the sugar paste of the wound should be made every two to four days by removing
the used gauze, flushing of the wound with water, or salt water, or hydrogen peroxide. Then
the wound should be dried, and to be placed a new paste of sugar / glycerin.

Note: Instead of sugar can also be used natural honey bee (not required glycerin), but sugar is
the thing we always have at hand and is less expensive option. Sugar and honey is perfectly
safe to use even in diabetic wounds because they do not penetrate into the bloodstream. But
sugar and honey will not have any effect on abscesses or acne that is covered with skin.

Keep in mind this: Do not use sugar and honey on wounds that bleed because they promote
 bleeding.
